HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

Each session of this effective treatment for fungal nail infections typically takes around 20 – 30 minutes from start to finish, with the laser itself being used for only a couple of minutes. Most people need about 4-6 treatments (spread 2 – 3 weeks apart) before the infection is cleared completely. Some people describe the procedure as uncomfortable but very rarely painful. We can always pause and then resume the treatment once you feel more at ease. However, there is no downtime after the treatment and you will be able to return to work and everyday activity the same day.

TREATMENT AFTERCARE

After treatment, we ask that you do not to wear tight footwear for the first 48 hours. You should also apply an anti-fungal cream to the affected area twice daily for 3 months. Also, use an anti-fungal powder in your shoes.

Results are usually visible from the very first treatment and increase throughout the course until the infection is completely gone. The healthy nail will start to regrow in the weeks and months after treatment and should eventually look just entirely ‘back to normal’.
