What is Dermaplaning?

Is Dermaplaning the Same as Shaving?
Dermaplaning and shaving can both be used to remove unwanted hair growth. Shaving only cuts hair at the skin level and should not remove any layers of skin. Dermaplaning is the best option if you are hoping to improve the overall appearance of your skin.
What results can I expect?
Immediately after the treatment and for up to 24 hours after, you may have a slight pink complexion and can experience slight itching or a tingling sensation. This is completely normal and will usually start to subside after about 20 minutes. The noticeable ‘peach fuzz’ will be gone and you will be left with smoother brighter skin. There’s a misconception that hair grows back thicker or darker, which is generally unfounded.
Dermaplaning is not advised for those with active skin conditions like acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, or sunburn, due to the risk of irritation.
How many treatments will I need?
Dermaplaning is usually performed every three to four weeks. It is good to have the skin complete its normal rejuvenation cycle, which is thirty days, before going back and having the treatment done. The procedure generally will remove between two to three weeks of dead skin and hair growth from the facial area.

While the mask takes effect you will receive a hand massage. This treatment is finished off with a moisturizing sunscreen.
